TRV after AOR of sponsorship

Hi,

I am going to apply the TRV for my partner, so that she can come to Canada to wait for the sponsorship results.
I checked IRCC, the dual intents are legitimate but you still have to satisfy the officer that you will leave Canada at the end of their authorized period.

I wonder what would be considered as strong evidences that the partner will leave Canada while her main purpose is to wait for the PR.
We are not married yet, can I also mention we will get married in Canada as well?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Your title is misleading because you are not married so you cannot apply for sponsorship. Unless you declared her as common law and applied for sponsorship. So have you started the sponsorship process as common law?

How can she come to Canada and wait for sponsorship if you are not married. She would be applying for a TRV as a single person, not married to a Canadian or PR so there is no dual intent. She needs to show her own funds, travel history and ties to return (job offer with approved leave, properties, investments etc.). If you say you are getting married expect an automatic refusal.
Thanks for your reply. Our outland sponsorship is already in progress and we received the file number.

My question is based on the new measurement announced in May:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2023/05/canada-is-reuniting-loved-ones-through-new-immigration-measures-new-measures-also-address-labour-shortages-in-canada.html

We will indicate our sponsorship file number in the application but I am wondering how to convince the officer the partner will leave Canada but her main purpose is family reunion. I felt it's confusing.

It is confusing. I would not say you are getting married since you have a sponsorship file under common law. All you can do is apply for TRV and show what ties she has. IRCC knows she is not planning on leaving.

Not sure how closely you are following some relevant threads on this topic. If you are, then you'd have notice that increasingly, since mid July, most applications (not all) are being put on hold indefinitely. And instead of giving TRV, CIC seems to be just focusing on finishing the PR applications at record pace of 5-6 months. Totally up to you if you want to apply, but i personally think its waste of money, considering March/April applicants are getting their PPRs now.

Yes, I realized it. But I am not sure how long exactly will take for my case, so I think may be just try TRV as well.
By the way, I received the SA today, the letter said the application will be moved to Centralized Intake Office for further processing. However, mine is outland sponsorship, do you know why it will be processed in Canada ? @InfoSeeker12

That's not necessairiily a bad thing. Lots of outland apps are processed in Canada. The thought is that some apps that will not require in depth investigating will get processed here. But then again many start off here then are changed to the local VO or another VO anywhere to balance work loads of the officers.

Thanks for the explanation! I initially thought all the outland application will go to local office where the applicant resides.
Good to know it's normal that they process some outland applications in Canada.
