What do you mean? Copr is not a file number.
That's why I said "like" a file number. It is the number of a hypothetical document that they would issue if they approve it. It's like a registry number.

Getting the number itself is meaningless. Wait for the approval.

Depends on which mission abroad (assuming abroad), but 1-4 weeks. Two weeks pretty normal.
I submitted my passport for getting Permanent Resident Visa stamp and COPR document on Sept 7th to VFS Global New York. It went to IRCC office from there on Sept 13th. I am still waiting to hear back from IRCC. This week will be 4th week in their possession.

That's long, have you tried contacting VFS?

@armoured @scylla I will be submitting spousal sponsorship application soon. For proof of contact, can we submit our chats as is without any translation as there is some private stuff in the chats which we don't want to get officially translated? Most of the conversation is not in English but all of the words are written with English letters but the visa officer will not understand them. What other proofs can we submit?

If you don't want to translate the chats (and they aren't in either English or French), then I'm not sure there's any point submitting them.

Hi!
My partner and I applied in June 2022 for Inland Spousal Sponsorship (my partner has a student visa from France). We received the CSQ in January 2023, medical visit, biometrics and eligibility are all passed. We've been stuck on background check since August 11th 2023. Did anyone get their PR for QUEBEC recently? thank you!

Quebec has put caps in place and consequently wait times for Quebec spousal sponsorship applications are 2+ years right now. There are several threads discussing this issue and also at least one petition floating around against this Quebec government policy. Here's one of those threads: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/cruel-24-months-of-waiting-for-outland-spousal-sponsorship.822280/page-2#post-10629983
