For me: About 3 weeks after I submitted FP, my background was completed. I had sent an email to the address where I received fp request about 2 days before the status changed. They never replied and the auto-response reply said that they will not reply to status requests. Not sure my email mattered but I think it is a good idea to send them an email around 18-20 day mark after you submit FP's.
Yeah, my fingerprinting agency said something similar. they said if it takes longer than 20 days, first contact rcmp then the ircc. from the application google sheet, it seems mostly it takes 20 days. so it might be good idea to contact after about 20±5 days.
Mine was almost immediate, but I took the test on the very last day. So don't know if it automatically became completed since it was the last day of the window
Hi seems we are in same condition..have exact timeline ..submitted application on 28 July AOR 30 august
Ghost update on 20 September for both me and my spouse ..my status changes to background completed but no change in spouse status ..pls let me know if you get any update in status
No update since Aug 12th, anyone else in the same situation?
I called to ask about 2 things:
- Q: Do I need to inform them about upcoming travel after submitting the application?
- A: I don't need to submit that pro-actively but they might ask me for updates about recent travel
- Q: What are the offices that are working on my application?
- A: Only Sydney office for now
Both my husband and I got a Ghost Update on September 16th and nothing happened since. Our BG though was completed on the 14th
Good atleast your BG for both is marked completed ..for me only mine is completed spouse one is still nothing
That's an actual update and not a ghost update, the updates are usually 2 days behind. The update on the 16th was an actual update to reflect the changes that happened on the 14th.
