does anyone have a strong understanding of CBSA notes? We recently received ours and there was a concern of cultural differences so our file was sent for further review. Has anyone had this note by an officer? If so, did you address it? Did it have a negative impact on application? Was an interview required? Any guidance is appreciated

I submitted my application on FEB 18th,
March 18th they updated the PR tracker
April 17th asked for biometrics
July 20th requested medical
August 10th Medical passed

Nothing since then. GCkey says background check not applicable but, PR tracker says Background check in progress
GCKey says we are reviewing your eligibility requirements, but PR tracker says eligibility not started yet.
Alot of dates on PR tracker and GCkey do not coincide, why is that?

VO is Mississauga. On PR tracker it says destination: Mississauga so that the VO right?

Should I raise GCMS?

GCMS should give you more detail but I don't think it would help a lot. We are also waiting for 2 months and a few days for AOR2 from Hong Kong VO on Oct 6 after we completed medical exam on July 30. I think the only option for you is to send webforms to ask for a check. Not sure if it is the webform helps but we got an update on Sep 12 and background check changed to "Not Applicable"(It turns out it is when they actually starts background check from what I saw from our GCMS) after I sent webform to both local VO and the general one on Sep 7. It could be a coincidence but who knows and there is no harm to keep bugging them if somthing is not on the right track. You can also request a free GCMS notes and hopefully give you something useful.

So, its not too early for me to send GCMS notes request?
also, is AOR2 necessary?

You can request GCMS now if you want, but it won’t help much. It’s not updated infos that you’ll get. Not all VOs issue AOR2.. I didn’t get mine but I requested GCMS and received it 2 weeks after.
