Dear fellows, I have a concern that I need your advice! Yesterday my wife got provisional acceptance letter from TWU in MBA program international business yet she wanted to pursue MBA in Non-profit and charitable organizations! When I reached to the university , the director told me that the program we want which is MBA in Non-profit and charitable organizations it does offer post graduate work permit because there are a lot course online!
My question, to you! Do we need to change to study the program that we don’t want for PGWP

Secondly, my wife is the one to come to study and I will seek an open work permit! Will it affect me to accompany her if she is don’t taking a program with PGWP!
Thirdly what do you advise me to apply together or to let her coming then apply later what is the best probability of being visa refusal or accepted !

I would very strongly recommend staying away from programs that do not offer a PGWP. This generally reduces the chances that a spouse will be approved for an open work permit. If your ultimate goal is PR, taking a program that does not offer a PGWP very significantly limits your options and is a very very poor choice.

FYI - TWU is a low ranked university with a bad reputation in Canada.

Your wife should get admission to a different school. Stay away from TWU. Stay away from all private universities. She needs to focus on public universities.

I was not informed and the problem is all the recommendations were addressed to TWU !I have even asked someone who has my savings to deposit that 10,000 but he hasn't .I'm so confused

TWU is a private university that has theological programs too. I think the university is better known for those. I applied to the university for the MBA program back in 2019 and was not satisfied with their response, information about the program, and professors. All non-theological programs(MBA included) are PGWP eligible (link). So that is not a problem. They mentioned on the program page that the specialization courses (Non-profit and charitable organization) could be online, while all general MBA courses would be in person. (link)

I however, echo @scylla. There are better universities and programs out there. Even if you don't find an MBA with a non-profit organization specialization, your wife can intern with organizations while studying, or as a coop. That will still get her the experience she wants. So don't limit yourself. Spend your money wisely.

You never mentioned a child in your first post. How old is the child? You can apply together if you can all show funds to live in Canada, ties to home country. Your wife needs to show career advancement to justify costs of education (better job and higher pay). TWU focuses on international students for MBA program so job prospects on PGWP will be low.

Anyway I do have a daughter of two years old and I’m working with IFC of worldbank group I don’t have much money that I have building of $400K and other lands that worth $100k and I have around $30k on account after paying the enrollment fees I have this is enough for three of us!

Your daughter needs a visitor visa. Factor in daycare costs (if you can even get daycare) and get on waiting lists. Some people get on lists before birth so start making calls today.

Depending where you live most people start looking at least a year in advance. You may not be eligible to be added to wait lists if you are not living in the city. You are not immigrating to Canada. You are coming to study. Immigration is when you get PR.

Have you paid tuition for first year? How much is tuition in total because $30k may not be enough funds once you pay that and add in daycare costs.

So if you have $30k and tuition is $36K then how can all 3 of come to Canada and survive? You are in the most expensive area of Canada. Even if she applied on her own, the funds don’t cover tuition and living expenses. Have you even looked at housing (costs and if you can even rent a place)? A one bedroom that is nice is probably around $2500. There is a housing crisis in Canada. Living in Vancouver…you cannot afford it. Abbotsford…maybe. Look at private daycares. Have you done any research on cost of living/rental/daycare/transportation?

With those funds, she may be best to apply on her own. And even then it may not be considered enough since the program plus her living expenses are about $56k.
