I think it's better to request for update via web form than to submit medicals as it might delay a bit.

No
We got medicals done on sept 1 and submitted through a webform. Got a standard reply to webform that they have received docs on sept 5. Nothing after that

How can we do an upfront medical? Does IRCC accepts this? How do they tag the results to the application?

You get a medical confirmation which you upload along with your application on the IRCC portal.

Biometrics appointment: August 31, 2023
Biometrics completed status for father: September 1, 2023
Biometrics completed status for mother: pending

Unsure why the biometrics completed status for my father appeared a day after the appointment and why it hasn't yet appeared for my mother.
