Today I got an email saying the documents I provided were added to my file... I haven't sent them anything in over a month? (and I got an email for that one). Bizarre?

IRCC officers swatting flies. happens sometimes. same thing happened with me earlier in the year. two emails for same update a month or two apart.

finally an update!!!
Apparently I have an interview on September 27. Still 2 weeks away, but better then nothing...
that's 10 days before the 18 months! It's like they were waiting to process me in the last minute...
Anyways, I'm still mad at them, but it's so good to not seeing that March 2nd date anymore!

I got the email first and the the tracker was updated 2-3 days after.. the interview lasts 10-15 min. Basic questions about your application.. jobs, travels, checking documents.. so simple

Have you done the oath already? If so, how long after the interview was it?

new update: I got the interview email and it's apparently IN PERSON.... I'm confused since I've seen everyone do it online...
Since I'm still out of Canada, I might send them an email requesting for online interview instead.

I was not in Canada during the test. I believe they considered me outside Canada after that, since my status in the notes said "Out of Canada".

In that case it's weird they scheduled you for in-person. But there are chances they will keep you on hold till you dont come back. I remember @Dreamlad had faced this.
