How long does it typically take to receive the PGP visa/pre-arrival letter?

All documents and medical uploaded by mid Aug ‘23. Do they typically ask for more documents once medical has been submitted?

Yes, IRCC will send an email with instructions for virtual landing.

Typically they won’t but it might depend on the application. For us, biometrics were requested again as the first time the fingerprints were not clear.

Thanks Sameer.. Today we received email from doctor regarding furtherance required from IRCC, its revised chest x-ray (to be done after 3 months only), sputum smears and culture and chest clinical investigation

So probably our file will go behind as we need to wait for 3 months..

i m facing same issue even though there is no issue with the medical yet they asked to do it to be on safe side

Hi guys,
My parents received the passport request on Aug 22nd, sent passports on Aug 24th via vfs and received by IRCC, New Delhi on Aug 29th and there is jo update as of today….is that normal?
Usually, they paste the visa next day and send passports back via courier.

Which city in India you sent the passports from? How long it took when it received at IRCC via VFS? Its taking longer for my parents.

Sent from VFS Jalandhar on 31st August. Received by IRCC Office on September 4. VFS Jalandhar staff told it takes around 7-12 business days for all process. Hopefully you will get an update this week.

I learn this hard way and they send my parents back so here is the detail how it should be done .

Select 2 applicant , then upload the same doc for both mom and dad . Only primary applicant gets the PPR so you can use the same doc to upload for mom as well .

How long does it took to receive your passport back? Latest update i have that passports received at IRCC Delhi on Aug 29th and there is no update after that. Please reply!!! Usually i know it takes 12-15 days for whole process but my passports are received at IRCC Delhi and staying there for 6 days now….Was your case same?

See my time line below , Try to raise web form and ask where is your passport , Also do you see status online like the validity of COPR ? if yes then they have approved it . if no, then office must have you passport .

I don’t see any update after passport request. Usually does it take that long for the passports to be stamped?

If you do not see any thing online that means they still have your passport , Once they stamp it you should be able to see the expire date Online. normally it takes about 2-3 weeks . Give another week and then submit webform to check the status . May be they are slow because of so many student visa application . You can call VFS global and ask them about the status .
