Indian passport surrender

Submitted my SC application at BLS Brampton on 28th Aug. Currently it shows processing at Cosulate General. Will post the timeline as it changes.

Sorry if this is a very obvious question, but for booking appointment of Passport Surrender, the service Type to select at appointment booking is : Passport or OCI?

I'm getting a date 3 weeks from now, so I don't want to get it wrong.

I surrendered my passport in person at BLS Montreal on August 16th. Passport Seva website says "Surrender certificate is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate. "

I believe processing time at HCI Ottawa is 4-5 weeks? Really slow!!

Yes, it took me almost 6 weeks till I received it.

Anyone knows how long it takes to receive your SC by mail after status changes to printed on your portal? Thanks in advance

Yes, it took me almost 6 weeks till I received it.

Sounds lovely. I guess that means September end for the SC and December for the OCI.

While surrendering the passport along with minors, do I need to book separate appointments for each of us? I have 2 kids along with me to surrender the citizenship (passport)? I just booked a slot of myself. Do I need to book another 2 slots for my kids?

My experience with OCI surrender at BLS surrey, It used to be 7-10 days last year but this year its 3-4 weeks now

on 04 Aug - In Transit from BLS Centre to Consulat General
on 08 Aug - Application Status Passport application along with fee details have been received. The same is under processing at the Embassy/Consulate.
Processing at Consulate General
On 09 Aug - Surrender certificate is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate.

Hey — There doesn't seem to be an option to add Canadian Address in Current Residential Address field? There is only option for Indian addresses? How did you fill this bit in the form as I currently live in Canada? Can someone clarify? Thanks!

Surrender Application Form requires you to provide Present Residential Address. Where did you see on the form they ask foe Indian address ?
