No e-certificate yet. Anyone in the same boat?
They just emailed me saying that I have signed the oath form incorrectly. I had used Adobe e-sign, but had not followed the instructions of adding an image from a separate piece of paper into Adobe.Similar situation - took my oath online on Aug 22 with the Edmonton office. Interesting! I had anticipated issues with signing online, that's why I printed it, signed and scanned it. Emailed them the form immediately after the oath ceremony and also received an automated thank you email. Then I called IRCC on Friday and they confirmed that they have received my oath form and are currently processing it. They asked me to wait until the end of 5 business days which is tomorrow. So I just printed the form, signed it by hand and scanned a copy back to them right now. Hopefully will get the e-certificate in the next 24 hours.
Do you have a tracking number for the certificate? My oath ceremony was July 10, and still haven't received my citizenship certificate. I contacted IRCC on Aug 18 and they confirmed that my certificate was mailed out July 24. They won't be able to do anything or issue me another certificate until early Sept which is 6 weeks after original certificate being mailed out. Anyone has similar situation or know what to do? Also wondering if there is any chance I can ask for e-certificate? cuz my application was sent last year so I didn't have the option to get e-certificate when I applied. Thanks.
Hey did you sign the form by using the Adobe method or did you print, sign and scan and sent them the form?Hey got it 4PM today !!!
Can you link the portal link here please?I have a weird question - although I think I know the answer to the question already.
I had a portal account already since I used it to apply for my parents visitor visa. After my oath on Aug 24, I logged in and tried downloading my citizenship certificate but it has not been generated yet.
Just to play around with the portal, I tried to check if my portal was able to download my friend's citizenship certificate, and it worked. I am just worried that the portal would only let you download 1 citizenship certificate? Is that a thing?
I know I am overthinking, and the portal can basically download anyone's certificate as long as it is in the system. Since its asking for UCI, Application # and DOB.
It will be sent by IRCC a few days before/after your oath along with instructions to download the e-certificate.Where do I get the invite code?
That shouldn't be a problem. I was also able to download my wife's certificate from my portal account. And I did it twice, just to make sure that it worksI have a weird question - although I think I know the answer to the question already.

That's interesting. It's super frustrating when the certificate is the last thing you need to complete this process and they're dragging it on for so long. That shouldn't be a problem. The issue with my case is that my wife and I took the oath in the same ceremony, and have the same paper file number (different application numbers), and her e-certificate was available in 2 working days, but for me it's been 4 working days (6 calendar days including the weekend)!
Yeah, and I'm still waiting... Tomorrow is the 5th business day for me!That's interesting. It's super frustrating when the certificate is the last thing you need to complete this process and they're dragging it on for so long.
