Hello,

I have a confusion regarding OINP - International Student Stream

Currently, I'm working as Network Engineer which comes under Tier 1 category jobs, NOC website says Tier 1 jobs usually require University degree (View unit group - Canada.ca (esdc.gc.ca) ) but I graduated from 3-year Adanced Diploma Course from College major in Network Engineering & Security Analyst which obviously still doesn't count as University degree. My question is, Do I must need University degree when applying for OINP - International Student Stream with my job Title as network engineer? Can I become eligible with Diploma degree that I have currently?

I checked all over OINP website but can't find anything that gives me certainty on my confusion.

Any leads would be appreciated.

You don't necessarily need to have a degree.

I would say what is much more important is whether your employer is willing to complete the employer form as part of this application process. Many employers are not. Have you confirmed that your employer is willing to participate?

Yes, I have discussed it with my employer and they are OK with filling out Employer Form as HR has done OINP paperwork quite a few times for other employees, So I'm good from my employer side.

Do you have any reference of OINP documentation that give me some sort of certainty on what you said on your reply?

THanks.
