Will previous Visitor Visa refusal be a problem when applying for a Study Visa?

Hello,

I applied for Canada visitor visa in May 2023 to attend my younger brother's convocation. However, my visa application was rejected in first week of June 2023. But since the convocation was in mid-June 2023, I reapplied for visitors visa, hoping that I would still get a chance to visit him at least since it's been many years. There's no update on the current status of the visitor visa application.

I'm looking forward to study in Canada this year or next. I have received Acceptance Letter from a reputed university.

I was wondering if my previous Visa refusal affect my future study visa application. Did any of you have had your previous Visa refusal affect your future visa application?

You must declare all refusals. Yes it may have an impact depending on reasons for refusal.
