Why do you need to wait for them? Send the document via a webform.
Thanks for the tip. Because in my application page it says "we don't need additional doc, we'll contact you if this changes". I was also not sure how effective the webform is and saw some YouTube video that said they'll request the doc if needed. The reason I didn't send the doc in the first place is because it's upload position is in the "Optional documents" section(Neither is that doc in the application docs list from China). I know the additional docs such as letter of explanation are uploaded under the same section but I had enough info about that. I only found out IMM5257 might have been mandatory after some time. Anyway I'll send them now. Thanks a lot.

I think it is an optional document for everyone. But don't waste time waiting for them to ask anything. Webforms are very effective. They take upto one week to respond.

Thanks a lot. I was not sure what that doc is even about, but now I think it's the application form for the TRV(somebody correct me if I'm wrong!). So yeah, I should send it. Thanks mate!

STUDY
Submitted my study permit application on the 17th of July and I haven't gotten feedback yet. Is it time to start considering deferring my admission as it's for September intake?

SDS or non SDS?
Since it's already 7aug now.. you would not be able to get approval, stamping and travel to canada by aug end... I would say withdraw your file (in case you don't get an update by 12aug) and the focus on Jan intake

Rest you can talk to a good consultant too

Bvl doesn't mean PPR.. but it's a receipt of the biometrics that you took and states it's validity..
Suggest he should raise webforms (not too many) basis his region .. that's the only thing doable

I think you should wait till end of August or First week of September before you defer your admission. I feel you can still make use of the visa for winter semester or spring even if you get a late approval.

Morning Guys,
I am planning on deferring my studies if I haven't received my Visa by 18 August, by then it will be 15 weeks.
Its really tough process waiting and not knowing what the outcome will be. Do you guys think 18 August is still too soon to defer, just thinking that two week is not enough to pack up and get everything ready. :(

15 weeks?! How come it's taking that long? Where did you apply from? How long is your ideal processing time and have you sent webforms and made calls??

I have no Idea why its taking this long, Ive applied from South Africa Non SDS.
The processing times were 6 weeks when I submitted my application on 5 May.
My agent says you can't submit a webform before 188 days.
It's so stressful

To the best of my knowledge you can send a webform when you have a concern and I believe your application pending longer than due processing date is a concern. You can ask other experts in this forum but I believe you should not only send webforms but contact them via calls.
