Can someone help me with this:

I submitted my application On June 09, 2023 with Spouse as dependent (EEPNP) :

AOR - June 09, 2023
Medical Got updated on June 23rd 2023
Biometrics request for spouse - June 23rd - My Biometrics got updated on June 23rd (Had them done before)
Biometrics got updated June 26th 2023
RECEVIED MY BIOMETRICS REQUEST ON JULY 31ST - PORTAL SHOWS FINAL DECISION JULY 31ST 2023!!!!!! THIS WAS WEIRED SO I CALLED IRCC TO CONFIRM IF I NEED TO GIVE BIOMETRICS AGAIN, AGENT SAID MY APPLICATION HAS BEEN COMPLETED - ALL STEPS ARE APPROVED - I SHOULD WAIT FOR PORTAL REQUEST.

HOWEVER, MY AGENT SUGGESTED TO GET THE BIOMETRICS DONE SO THAT IRCC DOES NOT COME BACK SAYING YOU DID NOT REPLY TO OUR REQUEST.... SO I DID SO.

CALLED IRCC AGAIN TODAY, AGENT SAID OFFICER REOPENED MY BACKGROUND CHECK ON AUGUST 1, 2023!!! EVERYTHING IS JUST SO WEIRED.

Did something like this happened with any of you guys. I would really appreciate your reply.

i think you should follow what is being said in June AOR thread. Those who had applied (AOR) before 14 June are getting biometrics requests again and should probably go with biometrics as it is just a walk in process that hardly consumes any time.

If you received an ADR for it, your agent was right in suggesting you to go and submit it.

When you called today to ask, did the agent specify what part of Background check is finished, in-progress or pending?

Initially my Biometrics got updated on my Profile on June 23rd and then Background Check started. ( My application was submitted before the policy Changed June 14, 2023 so technically I am not required to do

My Background was completed as of July 31st 2023. IRCC reopened it on AUGUST 1ST 2023 (As per today's phone call) so its in Process Right Now.

I know, it's kind of stupid for that to happen. I know someone who got an ADR for medicals, when their old medicals were accepted by IRCC. It took them a few extra weeks to get their portal email because of it. But I guess, you can expect the same thing. Good thing is that IRCC updates biometrics very fast.

I've come across discussions in the forums suggesting that it's common for your background check status to switch from 'completed' to 'in progress.' This is often interpreted as a sign that the process is nearing its conclusion.
However, I don't know whether this applies to your specific situation.

What you are talking about is changes within GCKey. OP spoke with IRCC, eligibility and BGS goes back in very rare cases.

Hi folks, EEFSW (outland) Invitation on June 08 2023 & AOR on July 17mid night/18. I saw the UCI got updated and med pass today Aug 4th. Bio linked to my previous one when getting the Canada visitor visa. Not be able to create the status tracker account tho.

Seems at the same pace as others in this thread
