Hey Guys, did you submit your original Canadian passport, also how much is the DD required..On the website I can see that its 129.40 per person, is that correct. Another question is, if you have valid future dated visa then will that be still valid for Indian passport ?

I recently received Canadian passport and researched about the surrendership process, I had Indian Passport. Since I am from Regina, we ahve CGI Vancouver office. I will be applying online. Can someone please help me with below questions please
1) Amount per person mentioned on website is $129.40 however I read few post (walk-in ones) they had to pay more not sure on the final amount
2) Also,Do we have to submit Canadian Passport as well?
3) Indian Passport only the latest one I believe, we need original and first and last 2 pages
4) Copy of Canadian certificate
5) Proof of address
6) Photo With no Stamp required.
7) Application form
8) Checklist
Can someone please confirm on this.

Good question. But I think a visa is attached to passport nationality. You are not renewing your passport, but rather you are giving up Indian nationality, the visa will not be valid I think.
I just mailed the surrender application today and wanted to understand timelines here ? Can someone tell me timelines that to expect ? Official timeline says 6-8 weeks is that the timeline that is taking

You can expect the SC between under 4-6 weeks considering your application was a postal one.
Hi can you please mention what did you put for Foreign Nationality Acquisition Date (DD/MM/YYYY)* is that Oath date or date of issue of canadian passport?
I signed all the photocopies and checklist and form had 2 signs below the picture and second page. I don’t follow what do you mean by sign beside page. I photocopied all document first and signed on the copies
but again my form is just sent will come to know soon once it is accepted by BLS
He is asking about the sign that is needed to be done on the passport and did you take a photocopy after signing the passport.
