Canadian Passport in person timeline

Applied for passport in person at Hamilton Queenston Rd office on Jul 17. Received passport on Jul 25. Wife had also applied together and she received hers on Jul 27. Both old versions. Regular processing - mail delivery via Canada post.

Applied July 14 in person, received on July 26 in mail from Canada Post.

Applied in person today July 28th in Toronto (74 Victoria Street), went in around 2PM and it was about an hour and half wait time. Pickup date is Tuesday August 1st (paid express pickup).

can I book an appointment thru the tool for passport and request urgent processing like getting passport the next day ? or I have to line up for hours to get this service .Thank you

Line ups are not bad as they used to be. You can do both. But appointment are tough to get.

Using your Postal Code you can do walkin by checking the wait time if you don't get appointment.

hey did not ask for proof. just for reference, express pickup is not the same as urgent pickup (24 hour turnaround time). I was expecting it to be around 10 days but they just asked me what day I want to pick this week and I said Tuesday and that was it.

No They did not, my guarantor is picking it up for me tomorrow anyway so I don't think they'll make those calls.

When applying for in person passport (express/urgent) , if i go there with my guarantor does that eliminate the need for them to call the guarantor ?
