My wife and son got a mail today which had instructions for downloading the citizenship e-certificate. They have not even done the oath ceremony and we have not received any communication to that end yet. Is this normal? seems a bit odd..

Yes it’s normal, some offices like Niagara sends E-certificate download instructions before Oath invite. Their tracker should be updated in the coming days with the Oath date and subsequently, the Oath invite will follow

Nope, according to the tracker trends, it usually takes upto 30 days for oath invitations, but I have crossed the 30 days mark and I still dont have updates lol. Maybe i am the unlucky one since everyone seems to be getting oath invites within a few days of LPP completion.
Lol - you submitted your application around end of December and looks like your background & other checks got completed before me. I submitted my last application on Dec 4th and mine got everything completed on July 6th. I am pretty confident you would be getting the oath invite sooner than me, so unlucky me lol
Dec 04 and Dec 28 are not really too far off. They usually process application in batches, so its pretty much the same time frame.

I believe mine is Missisauga too.
