I agree, easier to wait for the Oath once the decision is made. At least you don't need to log-in 50 times a day, but just wait for that email now :)

Hi everybody, Can you please help me with one question. I'm currently visiting my parents. Can I get my police check here in my home country or do I need to get it after I leave the country? I'll hopefully be eligible to apply for citizenship in late Nov 2023. I appreciate your kind help.

You can,
And you should do 2-3 weeks before you leave so it’s recent.

We did the same before coming here and it works

I applied back in January. And got a note saying "Passport Gap(‘s):



· There is a gap in the validity period of the passport covering the (5) years immediately before the date of the application.



· Please provide an explanation why the passport does not cover the entire period of time from January 28, 2018 to May 03, 2022 and whether you traveled outside Canada during that period.

I sent in a web form with the passport pictures. And also a note saying that all of my travelling with that passport was already in my application. Without resubmitting the exact same travel information(for fear of getting a day wrong when exactly I entered or exited a country.) I've passed my background and test. But it still says that they are waiting for information from me when I log in to the tracking portal. Is that just because they haven't looked at what I sent in yet? Or do they need more information? Should I request the gcms notes as see if they say something? I asked via a web form if they need more information on may 29th. But I never heard back
