But she didnt ask my husband and I dont recall that there was mention of the e cert on the oath invite. It said we had a choice, but we never got asked??!

The best way to find out if they have changed it from paper to e-certificate after you sent the request with the oath form is to call IRCC and ask what type of certificate you'll be receiving... They can check GCMS to see what type of certificate is selected in your file

Yes it was the same person. Maybe some context for my case might help. After LPP completed, I sent an email to the test email address on July 5th asking for an expedited Oath ceremony date because I had a flight on July 17th and I attached the flight info. I got the Oath ceremony invite on July 6th and it was virtual and said I’ll get an e-certificate. Not sure if that previous email prompted them to make it electronic.

But I also just got the e-certificate a couple hours ago after I emailed them my flight information (I had moved the flight to July 21st). My friend who was in the same ceremony as me hasn’t received hers yet so maybe they did pay attention to my emails. Hope that helps.

Completed Oath ceremony on 07/17 and received e-certificate on 07/19. Applied for passport 07/19 with urgent processing and was told to pickup 07/20, attached my flight details.

had an interview today, ( they checked my ID ( 2 of them), asked about my address, work,, also checked my passport and travel history,

Did they ask about your current address or all previous addresses in Canada as well?
Have you ever ordered GCMS notes to see details of your application?

I do. I have created the login for IRCC Portal. Get the following message:

"Your e-Certificate is not available. Please try again 2-5 business days after you provided your signed Oath of Citizenship."

I have already sent the Oath Confirmation to the email address provided on the Oath Form.

Oath ceremony is progress now and it shows that I am scheduled for July 31.
Question - When do you get the email invite for the oath ? and also is there a possibility to get an E-Certificate because I have a Trip to the US on August 7th ?
