I wonder how accurate are the processing times as they show 145 and 237 days for Germany and France respectively.

Same here however, I applied before @amitaf26 by some days but we have the same timeline response from IRCC in biometrics and eligibility.

I guess they update all applications by region simultaneously and the difference in processing time only in the VAC response after the decision.

Hi guys,
What does it mean when you receive PPR request and then 2 days later they send a letter saying it was sent in error. You can see the visa number on the tracker as well. I am so stressed and would be grateful for your feedback.

I am a Canadian citizen, trying to apply a visitor visa for my parents, I am stuck at question “why do you need visa?”

which option should I select from following?


1. To visit my spouse, common-law partner, dependent child, parent, steps-parent, guardian or tutor whols a
Canadian citizen, person registered under Canada's Indian Act or permanent resident of Canada To visit my spouse, common law partner, dependent child, parent, step-parent, guardian or tutor who is in Canada temporarily, such as an international student or temporary worker

2. To visit my grandparent, grandchild, sibling, half-sibling, step-sibling or non-dependent child who is a Canadian citizen, person registered under Canada's Indian Act or permanent resident of Canada

3. To visit other family who are not listed above or friends for less than 6 months

I got refusal today with generic reasons, the eligibility never started, also I am not sure if the agent looked over application or not as it’s Monday morning in India, or do they work on Sunday ? I am really frustrated.

My Mother's timeline applied on the 3rd of June passport request was received on the 6th of July tracker was not updated and eligibility also was not started till 6th July. Tracker was updated the next day with the visa number etc. Thank you Mahadev and Matarani!! Applied through the IRCC portal.

Got 2 refusals before 1 in April and 2nd one in May applied through GC Key my mother had visa valid till Feb 2023 and when we applied through GC Key we were not able to find any section to upload Financial documents so we applied for both applications with any financial documents. This time we applied on IRCC portal and provided financial documents with CA evaluation report along with Day to Day itinerary.

What can we do if PPR letter has old name from old passport/visa, but in new passport/application name is changed?
Details: In my mother's old passport, there was no surname. All three names were in the given name field: X Y Z. For her previous TRV, they put everything in surname: X Y Z
She applied for new TRV after getting her new passport. Now the name has been corrected as Given name: X Z and Surname: Y. In the application also the name was used so that it matched the new passport.
The old UCI was used to connect the new application to her details already in the system.
In the PPR, the name is still the old one X Y Z.

I’m applying for an inland TRV after study permit extension, applied on June 28. On July 4 I received a BVL, the status changed to “final decision - your application is in progress…”. On the IRCC tracker I can already find my visa document number and expiry date. But no final decision or passport request letter till now. The processing time was 19 days when I applied and has elapsed. I’ve filled at least 5 webforms and called 3 times still no update. Is there anyone in the same boat

Relax, ppr will come. It’s clearly approved. 19 days is better than most.
