Yes it looks like it will work out and hopefully you will get your passport back just in time for your flight.Yeah i get that. But we’ve basically done everything and are ready to fly even the next day. We’ve told them we can fly by the 25th so hopefully they respond soon saying they’ll stamp the passport and send it back on friday.
i‘d think they would do it quick knowing we need to leave by 25th
I'm not sure about the passport. However yes, the COPR is normal. It is not valid for travel. It's your landing document which means you can use it once to land and become a PR. But it's not valid for ongoing travel (that's what the PR card is for).Is it normal for the passport not to be stamped and for the COPR papers to have “Not valid for travel” in big grey letters?
I'm assuming you are Austrian because of the Vienna VO. If so, you are exempted for a visa to Canada. Maybe they already issued you an eTA.Is it normal for the passport not to be stamped and for the COPR papers to have “Not valid for travel” in big grey letters?
Czech Republic not austrian, our lawyer said she is applying for the eTA as she assumes that we are exempt from the visa as wellI'm assuming you are Austrian because of the Vienna VO. If so, you are exempted for a visa to Canada. Maybe they already issued you an eTA.
Yes, your lawyer is right that you're exempted from the visa because Czech Republic is part of the EU. It's just a bit weird that they asked for your passports. My PPR stated that you only need to provide a photocopy of your passport if you are a citizen from a country that only need an eTA to travel to Canada.Czech Republic not austrian, our lawyer said she is applying for the eTA as she assumes that we are exempt from the visa as well

They said that it only takes 10minutes for an eTA to be approved. All the best!Yeah its very weird! Not sure why they wanted the passport
Vienna office informed us all we need is the Copr, passport & authorization to return to canada documents to travel back! So luckily no need to do an eta or anything else. They said that it only takes 10minutes for an eTA to be approved. All the best!
