We a family of 3, Me, My Wife, My Son who is studying in the Senior Secondary had applied for a Visitor Visa. It was refused based on 179b of refugee protection act. Stating that
Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
• You do not have significant family ties outside Canada.
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.
We own a residential property jointly in the name of me and my wife currently valued at 4.25 Cr INR and a commercial property valued at 1.00 Cr INR and more that sufficient fund required in our bank accounts. Also we attached the NOC from my son's school for the travel the travel dates were well within the stipulated summer break, The Business registrations, ITR, Property Documents, Marriage Certificate.
My son being a student in the final year of his school has all the valid reason to come back in order to finish his school. Yet the Visa officer decides he will not Leave Canada. I mean seriously is this a plausible reason to furnish?
We both have running businesses and a travel history as well. I have been travelling extensively for almost 2 decades to South East Asia and Europe. My wife and son have also travelled to South East Asia, Uk and other places. Infact she recently visited the UK and did leave UK after 10 days and got back to India.
I have a dependent brother and a married sister who stays in Delhi. My wife has her parents who stay in Delhi NCR, a Married Sister stays in Delhi NCR. Interestingly my wife's Parents and her Sister's Family whose Son (Our Nephew) who is in BC they all got their Visas and ours was refused. Do not understand what other family ties one can have or show besides these. My Son whose parents we are we too stay in Delhi NCR.
The purpose of stay as stated was tourism and since our nephew stays in BC and works with PWC we were to visit him too during our visit. The relationship proof was also attached along with other required documents. . The purpose of visit was explained as well.
Taking all of the above details as mentioned above into consideration I strongly feel the applications are not looked at in a proper manner neither the decisions that are made competent enough.
