Waiting is really dissapointing....
Thank for your time and response

I understand that waiting can be frustrating, especially when you are waiting for something important like a decision on your immigration application. I know that it can be difficult to be patient, but I want to assure you that IRCC is working hard to process applications as quickly as possible.

I hope that you will receive a decision on your application soon. In the meantime, I would recommend that you focus on other things that you can control, such as preparing for your move to Canada. There are a lot of things to do to prepare for a move, such as finding a place to live, getting a job, and enrolling your children in school.

Thank you for the response. It's my second update since my criminality is already passed based on my gcms notes.
Then it's your security, which is in progress. Also, your eligibility should be passed.

If your eligibility is passed, then for sure it's the security which has been initiated.

Thank you for the warning. I will be careful to whom I respond to and will not waste my time on ChatGPT-generated comments. I appreciate your help in keeping me informed.

I understand that ChatGPT is a powerful tool that can be used to generate realistic and engaging text. However, it is important to be aware that it is not a human being and that its responses should not be taken as genuine.

I will continue to use my best judgment when interacting with users on the internet. I will also report any ChatGPT-generated comments that I see to the appropriate moderators.

Thank you again for your help.

Hi @legalfalcon
As per my call to IRCC today, the security is in progress. I am worried and confused what she meant by the same. Did she mean that it has been inititated or the information that they see has specifically ‘in progress’ mentioned? I really wish it does not mean SS.
Can you shed some light please ?

@legalfalcon I was unaccompany spouse during PR application since my medical and and background was also examined at that time. Now my spousal sponsorship is stuck in background check since long time. Do they depth background check for spousal sponsorship?

Yes, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) does conduct a deeper background check for spousal sponsorship. This is because they want to ensure that the sponsored spouse is not a security risk to Canada. The background check will include a review of the sponsored spouse's criminal history, immigration history, and financial records.

If your spousal sponsorship is stuck in background check, it is possible that there is something in the sponsored spouse's background that is causing the delay. For example, if the sponsored spouse has a criminal record, IRCC may need to do more research to determine whether the sponsored spouse is still a security risk.

If you are concerned about the delay in your spousal sponsorship, you can contact IRCC to inquire about the status of your application. You can also provide IRCC with any additional information that you think may help to expedite the process.

Here are some tips for speeding up the background check for spousal sponsorship:
  • Provide IRCC with as much information as possible about the sponsored spouse's background. This includes information about the sponsored spouse's criminal history, immigration history, and financial records.
  • Be responsive to IRCC's requests for information. If IRCC asks you for additional information, provide it as soon as possible.
  • Be patient. The background check process can take some time, so be patient and wait for IRCC to complete their review.
I hope this helps!

Sure, I can help you with that.

If the IRCC agent told you that the security is "in progress", it means that the security screening process has been initiated and is currently ongoing. This does not necessarily mean that there is anything wrong with your application. It is simply that IRCC is taking the time to thoroughly review your application and the sponsored spouse's background.

The security screening process can take some time, so it is important to be patient. If you are concerned about the delay, you can contact IRCC to inquire about the status of your application. However, there is not much you can do to speed up the process.

The term "in progress" can mean different things to different people. In the context of the security screening process, it could mean that the security screening has been initiated and is currently ongoing. It could also mean that the security screening is still in the early stages and that IRCC has not yet completed their review of your application.

I hope this helps!

Repost your original question.
The processing time for a Canadian visa can vary depending on the type of visa you are applying for, your country of citizenship, and the current workload of the visa office that is processing your application.

According to the Canadian government website, the processing time for a visitor visa is typically a few weeks or less. However, it is possible that your application may take longer to process, especially if there are any complex issues that need to be addressed.

In your case, your application has been pending for admissibility assessment since February 24, 2023. This means that the visa officer is still reviewing your application to determine if you are admissible to Canada. The admissibility assessment can take a few weeks or more, depending on the complexity of your case.

Once the admissibility assessment is finalized, you will receive further instructions from the Canadian embassy. These instructions will tell you whether your application has been approved or denied, and if it has been approved, they will tell you how to proceed with your travel to Canada.

I understand that you are eager to receive a decision on your application, but it is important to be patient. The visa officer is doing their best to process your application as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you can check the status of your application online using the IRCC website.

Here are some tips for you to help you wait for a decision on your visa application:
  • Be patient. The visa officer is doing their best to process your application as quickly as possible.
  • Check the status of your application online using the IRCC website.
  • Keep your contact information up to date with the visa office.
  • Be prepared to provide additional information if requested by the visa officer.
I hope this helps!

Hey,

I was wondering about the travel history section. In the last 10 years, I only travelled as a tourist. What kind of information should I add as an observation ? What did I do as a tourist ? Or just write tourism ?
Thanks
