I am the primary applicant and there are my 2 dependents .Criminality is passed for all 3 of us but BG is COMPLETED for just me.However my dependents BG status is still in progress. What does it imply,do I have to wait for their status also completed and then PPR?????
Yes, you will need to wait for the background checks of your dependents to be completed before you can receive your PPR letter. This is because IRCC will not issue a PPR letter until all of the applicants in the application have had their background checks completed.

The processing time for background checks can vary depending on a number of factors, including the complexity of the application and the current workload of IRCC. Once the background checks of your dependents are completed, IRCC will send you a notification. You will then be able to submit your passport to IRCC so that they can issue your permanent resident visa.

I hope this information is helpful.

Hy! I need help regarding discrepancy on my CRS score.
My CRS score was 456, 2 months before but after I passed my certificate of qualification from skilled trade Ontario I obtained another 50 points in my profile as Certificate of qualification. So after adding this new 50 points my CRS breakdown shows 506 however, the Overall score still reflects same (456+50)=456.
I have called to IRCC for more than 6 times but I couldn’t get any help from them. All I am hearing from them is to raise the webform under technical issues which I did a months before and couldn’t hear them back.
I am really looking if anyone can help me on this.
Thank you!

Hi @legalfalcon I recently had an ghost update that said in gckey "Application/profile updated" and when I opened my application. The background verification section has changed from "Your application is in progress" to "We are processing your background verification".

What can I infer from this update. Am I close to PPR?

Is this is the first BGC update or second.

If it's first, then your criminality is in progress.

If it's second, then its your security going on, which is the last step.

It is difficult to say for sure whether this is your first or second background check update. However, if you have not received any other updates about your background check, then it is likely that this is your first update. This means that your criminality is in progress.

The second background check is for security, and it is typically done after the criminality check has been completed. If your security check is also completed, then you will be close to receiving a Permanent Residence (PPR).

However, it is important to note that the immigration process can take some time. Even if your background checks are complete, there may be other factors that could delay your application.

I hope this helps!

Thank you for the response. It's my second update since my criminality is already passed based on my gcms notes.

That's great news! It sounds like your security check is in progress, which means you are one step closer to receiving a PPR.

The processing time for the security check can vary. Once your security check is complete, IRCC will issue you a PPR. This will allow you to come to Canada and start your new life.

I hope this helps!

Congratulations on your progress! I wish you all the best in your upcoming application.

Thanks in avance

Based on the update from the Canadian Embassy, your application for admissibility assessment is still pending. The admissibility assessment is the process by which IRCC determines whether you are admissible to Canada. This includes checking your criminal record, medical history, and financial situation.

The processing time for admissibility assessment can vary depending on a number of factors, such as the complexity of your case and the current workload at IRCC. However, it is typically a few months.

In your case, the Embassy mentioned that you will receive further instructions for all the family group as soon as the admissibility assessment is finalized. This means that you will be informed of the decision on your application, as well as the next steps in the immigration process.

It is difficult to say for sure how many days or weeks you will need to wait for a decision. However, I would recommend that you continue to check the status of your application online and be patient.

Here are some tips for tracking the status of your application:

  • Check the status of your application online. You can do this by logging into your IRCC account.
  • Be patient. The immigration process can take some time. However, if you have followed all of the steps correctly, you should eventually receive a decision on your application.
I hope this helps!

I see. I understand that you are waiting for a decision on your study permit application. I can imagine that this is a difficult time for you and your family.

The processing time for study permit applications can vary depending on a number of factors, such as the complexity of your case and the current workload at IRCC. However, it is typically a few months.

In your case, you have been waiting for a decision for over four months. This is longer than the typical processing time, but it is not unheard of. There are a number of reasons why your application may be taking longer than expected. For example, your application may have been flagged for further review, or there may be a backlog of applications at IRCC.

I would recommend that you continue to check the status of your application online and be patient.

I hope this helps!
