Any advice more than we already have done?
We lived in Canada for 2.5 years working, and applied for EE CEC inland PR October 2022 (he is the primary applicant, I am dependent common-law spouse). We went past the processsing standard and had to leave Canada for my partner’s job (IRCC know all this) May 2023 - and two weeks later (!!) we get the PR approval email.
In order to reply, we booked his flights back for July straight away for a few weeks so he could be in Canada and land, and give enough weeks for the process to go through. I was not planning on returning until November, so I put this assuming they would say the same to me as they did to him i.e. okay just let us know when you are back in Canada. But nope! They changed my process to outland (requesting documents sent to London, UK office) and currently our medical expiration date is showing as July 18th.
As soon as we found this out about me, we changed his flights to June 5th so that he has as much time as possible to complete his portal landing process before the current expiration date of our medicals since I am now being processed as outland.
He replied as soon as he crossed the border on June 5th, and it’s been two weeks out of three we booked for and he still hasn’t even had his credentials, let alone eCOPR. He’s been to our MP twice who has now been in two IRCC meetings - the first they just said they had everyone they needed for him to land (not, help, where is the credentials email?) - and now the second they have sent a message to the office. He has emailed again (Thursday) saying our situation - one that he has an international flight booked for next Monday, and two that it’s impossible for me to land if he hasn’t landed, and our expiry is next month. What if they don’t send him everything on time, my expiration date passes, and our application gets thrown out?
We have done everything by the book and everything possible to get this done. We applied into the pool in February 2022 but didn’t get drawn until Fall because of COVID. We go past the processing time which I feel barely happens right now, and then got hit by strike delays. We receive approval two weeks after we leave Canada, and now we are facing really weird and unfortunate delays just getting these stupid portal emails we’ve had to pay over £1k flights for, that we will almost definitely have to change.
I feel like we have done everything possible, but please let me know if there’s any other way of contacting IRCC or getting this flagged to get it done because we are both at the end of what we can mentally and financially take at this point.
