Is it possible to submit citizenship application outside the country, say from USA?

How do you enter you absence because you are outside already, what do we put in day entered back?

You have to be in Canada while submitting your application.

Once you meet the requirement for citizenship you can send your application to IRCC

Talks about where to send the application, the only part that talks about where you live is if you are using it for (Renouncing your citizenship, get proof of citizenship (citizenship certificate) or to search the citizenship records) not about applying for GRANT.

All applications to become a Canadian citizen or resume your Canadian citizenship must be sent to the Case Processing Centre in Sydney (CPC-S).

Where you send applications to give up (renounce) your citizenship, get proof of citizenship (citizenship certificate) or to search the citizenship records depends on where you live.

• If you live in Canada or the United States, send your application to the Case Processing Centre in Sydney (CPC-S).
• If you live outside Canada and outside the United States, send your application to the Canadian embassy, high commission or consulate responsible for your area.

The problem is the physical presence calculation. It will not allow you to post an absence entry without a return date as OP has not returned and would not be able to mention his current ongoing absence from Canada.

Can Op submit the calculation and leave out the last time they left, and then ensure that in the address line, they put where they currently live (which would be outside Canada)

So I assume this person has enough time as a PR in Canada and can apply, I would also suggest putting a letter explaining why your address is listed as outside Canada and why you did not include it since there is no return date.

So the question would be, since the last time you left did you meet the 1,099 days?

This is just my suggestion, not sure how viable that is, but if you were elibale b4 you left and has maintained your RO then you should be good, to submit without proving your current time out of the country on the calculation it self, as the application would have a section to put the current address, and you also need to have a Canadian address when you apply as well.

AHHHH okay that makes total sense, Thanks for that I learn something new today as well. been ages since I used that calculator so I have no idea what it ask.
