Does anyone know if the processing of your application is delayed when IRCC requests for additional information or does it get processed faster because they received a webform with requested documents and they continue processing from there?

There is no way to prove either hypothesis. It's all anecdotal evidence. You are the best judge whether your application can be considered non-routine for scrutiny.
