Absolutely, currently waiting to receive the AOR as we've applied back in March. The moment the AOR gets here we are submitting the TRV immediately. My question is whether we can apply without having received the AOR or we should have received the AOR before applying for the TRV under the new mandates?
Did you receive your AOR??

I did not ask about ties to home country but you probably still need to show the current scenario. Also, I agree with some other people that if trv is granted it can now easily convert to owp and hence your spouse can stay until pr is processed. Worse case get a multiple visa and go back after 6 months for a visit and return I guess.

Did they say anything about what to put for ties to home country? What if you ask for 6-month TRV, how can you demonstrate ties to home country then since you likely won't have a job anymore.

Ok but if it's only my account will it be ok?
Yes, should be ok. I am going to show bank statements for 3 bank accoumts. My personal account in Canada and I have a joint account with my spouse back home and also my spouse has an account as well. I think it shows more financial secuirty especially if you intend to have your spouse stay till pr processing.

Thank you so much for the info, the reason I ask is because PA makes very much less than we do here in Canada even on a 6 day work week so I was worried about that

No worries. Yeah my spouse also makes less in his home country but as long as your combined resources are $10,000 in account you should be ok. That's what my friend who is an immigration consultant told me. I will ask if there is any change though due to new regulations.

In our case PA is unemployed, I have less than 10K in bank account but I also showed TFSA, which I can withdraw from at any time, which has over 100K in it. Bank account shows monthly salary. Hopefully TFSA is acceptable; I could easily withdraw from TFSA to have high bank account balance but it seems pointless.

I basically wrote: we will live together in my house, and my salary will cover all her needs and expenses during her visit, but I also have TFSA with 100K+ if needed. Hopefully that's fine.

Uummm 10K? I feel like 10K is a bit much! They have to be a bit more reasonable than that......

Bank statements for 3 months of anyone. Could be your account, their account or even joint account.
Hi Sarah - and anyone who applied TRV and got it....

When you mention Bank Statement for 3 months - does it mean :
1- Credit Card or the bank account it self. (i guess the later).
2- should it be complete date by date statement showing each credit/debit and balance amount - for the past 3 months?

I submitted a signed certified bank letter from my bank not bank statements plus my husband's bank statements. Is this fine too?
