Hey guys, my TRV is ready for submission. But, I just received medical request for spousal application. Should I wait till June 22, give my medical and then submit TRV? Will it make a difference?
Yep. that makes sense. "Strong Ties" criteria would still be there, but its definition must have changed. @ERCAN 's understanding for the new definition of 'Strong Ties' --> primarily focusing on support systems other than finance/income/money, makes complete sense. It would make more sense for an applicant to satisfy the Officer that incase the PR application is rejected,When submitting for TRV there is this question about having valid medical and biometrics.
Since the only thing we know for sure, that they somehow relate between the likelihood of successful PR application with the decision process of TRV. We have no idea whether having medical is in the equation. The fact is - it's being asked while filling up the TRV request; that suggests that it plays a role. Still, no idea to what extent.
My personal opinion below and I don't claim being right:
If you have a strong TRV application on its own (very strong ties to home country), then by all means, go with it.
In a one of the multitude of threads about the subject I carefully examined Minister's speech including the Q&A section when talking with reporters. Personally, I would not apply while having AOR only unless a very strong TRV application can be submitted.
Many honorable members of this forum talk about strong ties I, however, fail to see, how strong ties can be proven while requesting a 6 month visa (and effectively acknowledging the interest in the OWP). No employer would approve a leave of such length.. There is inheritably no strong ties if one is planning to wait in Canada until PR is either accepted or rejected. I believe, that their focus of ties for applicants under this new processing rule is different. Whether there will be any means of return if PR is denied and OWP will not be renewed would be more important. And of course, good standing of the PR application will greatly affect the decision. Having AOR at hand - it only mean that one's application seems to be complete. SA+Medicals+BIO and some part of completed BGC will have better success than any "strong ties" such as employment. Again, it's my personal understanding and I will be testing it this month as our application will have only a marginal proof of ties (just some kind of possibility of return if something goes wrong).
I was told 10K by my friend who does immigration consultancy. Does it seem too much?Uummm 10K? I feel like 10K is a bit much! They have to be a bit more reasonable than that......

I was reading the thread but could not find a solution. How can my wife start working on a TRV?
https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/new-trv-measures-from-ircc-for-spouses-having-sponsorship-application.803791/page-6I talked to ircc and asked that question specifically and they said you have to wait for your aor before applyong for trv under the new regulations. Hope that helps!
Looks like it went into effect ~ May 9th:https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/policies-operational-instructions-agreements/public-policies/spousal-work-permit-exemption.html
That's the announcement. My reading is that this policy can or has taken effect immediately. You'll have to figure out how to apply for it (try IRCC web i.e. canada.ca )
Hello can u plzz tell me requirements and documents required for this programI cannot link my TRV application to GC key account, it is showing in PR tracker though.

Thanks for replyThis is for Canadians who are sponsoring their spouses / common law partners for PR.
Are you a Canadian who is sponsoring their spouse through family class? Have you already submitted the application and received AOR?
Did you apply using IRCC portal? If yes, you are nit going to be able to link that up in gckey. You have to use the portal. But it will automatically integrate with prtracker.I cannot link my TRV application to GC key account, it is showing in PR tracker though.

What do you mean by maximum number of years of stay?Hey, yeah it automatically integrated with GC key account, but I am not sure whether they will process within 30 business days.
This new TRV portal didn’t asked for many details either, it only wanted marriage certificate, NIC, passport copy, financial statements, parents details, work history and educational information.
Did not ask for police clearance, BC, address proof, recent photo, etc
I also chose maximum number of years as duration of stay, hope it is alright.
