I got the email requesting a fingerprint today. The tracker is not updated to show this request.

Anyhow I went ahead and sent my FP via one of the RCMP-accredited digital fingerprinting agencies. I have a couple of questions:

1) Is it normal to receive FP request emails and not see anything on the tracker? Will the tracker update in the coming days reflect this request?

2) How do people track progress on this FP request? The guy told me after digitally sending my FP today now it's between RCMP and IRCC. Is the only way to know this is done from our end when BG is marked as complete? For the US FBI report, they send you a copy of the report too. It appears that is not the case with the RCMP FP process. I'm just wondering if something gets stuck how would I know if it's at the RCMP end or IRCC?

Don't necessarily expect a super fast reply from their email address, though - I emailed them on May 26th, and it's been tumbleweeds after 8 business days (12 days total).

Oh, true, I did get a nice quick autoreply.

Anyway, it turns out that maybe complaining here was the magic needed to kickstart it, because I got an email back this afternoon advising that yes, my prints etc. had been sent off to IRCC on May 29th. Then I loaded up the tracker, and lo and behold, an update advising that my prints were received on the 5th and my background check completed on the 6th, with the update listed as having been done today. So I guess the next step should be the test invitation, unless I've forgotten something vital.

hey… just checking in. Still nothing on your tracker just the 2 ghost updates?Thats a good sign though 80% sure something should happen within tomm/thursday.

As for me, finally they start processing in ecas. So im expecting GU n movements within a week. Hopefully test invite or background verified

Applied in paper March 23, delivered March 28.
AOR May11 via email.
Then was able to check status of application online on may 13.
Online it says case was created on may 5.
Got a ghost update yesterday june9
This morning I see that Background is marked as complete since june8, yet prohibitions, physical presence and language are still in process.
Citizenship test and ceremony as not started.
