Hello, yeah, it's the same for me, review of eligibility in progress in gckey and completed in Application Status Tracker, and background verification is in progress in both gckey and Application Status Tracker. I'm not worried about background verification because as far as I know until you have review of eligibility in progress or completed, background verification is done. Maybe I misunderstand this, but at least what I can say is that people who get medical request have no problem getting their approval, until they have some diseases.
Hey Lolan, I hope all is well. Did you get any updates on your application after doing the medical?

Heeey @Izaz! Thank you so so much for cheering us up and for your great wishes! :D I hope our wonderful news gives hope to you as well! Our first application took 18 weeks, so I know the feeling! However, as there are only three people left with timelines over 16 weeks in 2023, I do believe and wish you to get your PPR very soon! Do not give into the despair. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the best outcome for you! :)

My sister in law got approved. She just received her letter of introduction. In the letter it states that your visa has been approved initially. And also that when you come to canada the officer will make sure you are still eligible. My question is. Will she have to prove to the officer like she did when she applied in the first place ? Like showing her bank account. Show all the supporting documents that we uploaded, and what is the chance that your visa will get refused on entry and they make you fly back home ? . It's making me stressed out with that wording approval initially . Her flight is next month.

Hey @bigfoot Yes, you have to take the originals of all your supporting documents with your when you cross the boarder. There is a list of compulsory documents. The LOI, LOA and financial documents are one of those. And yes, you'll need to go through an interview process where the officer will assess your eligibility and then issue you a study and work permit (for couples).

Guys! :D Guys! :D Guys! :D

My husband and I have received our Original Passport Requests today in the morning! Two days short of 16 weeks. We have not sent a single webform, have not contacted an MP and have not ordered GCMS Notes along the way. Our trackers and GCKey were both updated today with everything "Completed" and "Approved". Our timeline is:

SDS for SP + OWP from China
Application Submitted - 16 February
Medical "Completed" (for me) - 20 May
Biometrics "Completed" - 19 April
Everything Else "In Progress" for both of us - 19 April
OPRs for both of us - 6 June
Everything "Completed" for both of us - 6 June

@Izaz @naohFiona @kungFUpanda I believe, I wish, I hope, I am sending you my positive energy for all of you to get your PPRs any day now! :)

@trkm93 @hs202 I feel guilty before you, guys, honestly. You should not suffer and wait any more and should have gotten your decisions way before me and many others. I wish you guys approach the IRCC in any way that you can and above all I wish you strength and patience! Please, do let us know how your applications are going! We are rooting for you guys with all our hearts! :)

@Lolan @Latifa Annie Your PPRs are on their way, I am sure of it! :)

@step1234 @Mr_Kumar @Kharedeepika @liberty_guy @maazaslam33`@C4P @ridhamp00 @gurleensuri @thomas23 @archanajossy @saleslucas94 @Proldsport @chidibav @Hannan009 You are my cheerleaders! I am so enormously grateful for all your support and encouragement! Our journey through this application was made so much easier with your help! I literally stayed sane because of all of you. :)

To all new people on this forum whom I've just met - thank you for your inputs and warm messages!

This is our second application. Our first application was refused in 2022 (May 8 - September 11 - 18 weeks of waiting). This forum has been a source of useful information and moral support all this time and I will be absolutely thrilled to help anyone in need of a conversation relating to their applications.

Thank you guys so much! And good luck everyone!
awesome news!! congrats on your approval!
so happy for you both! :D

If your goal is to have the education and come back to your home country than there is no issue in it but if you plan to apply for PGWP after your education, you most certanily will not be eligibile to do so. You have to apply to some other college that provides PGWP.

Your sister being in Canada can be an issue as the officer will conclude your strong ties to Canada which will affect your approval chances. You do not have any job, spouse or kids in home country which will all raise flags for the officer. Lastly, the program you have choosen is not a natural progression of your career. So basically, given your current situation you have a high chance of refusal. If you can work on the factors mentioned above, it can work in your favour.
