How to check Visa or Permit refusals in GCMS?

Hi everyone!

I was wondering whether there's a way to check in the GCMS system to find out if the system has recorded any refusals of a visa or permit?

Where should one go to apply for this? I would be very grateful for any and all advice.

Thank you so much.

Please list all your visa refusals on your application. They won/t affect your application if you are honest.

Hello, thanks a lot for your reply.

I was not sure if a situation counts as a refusal. That's why I wanted to check what the system has recorded.

During the very first time I came to Canada, I was given my physical study permit document at the airport. At that point, I asked the officer if I could also receive a co-op work permit, because I was planning to do co-op later that year.

The officer said I was only approved for a study permit, which was what I was given. They asked me to apply online separately for the co-op work permit.

I later applied online for the co-op work permit and was approved for this as well. This is why I was wondering whether this situation counts as a refusal, where I verbally asked the officer for a co-op work permit and they asked me to apply for it separately online.

Based on what you said, it almost certainly doesn't count as a refusal. You asked a question but you didn't actually apply at the border, the officer didn't go through any administrative process aka they didn't look into any forms or documents regarding a co-op application. So if as you said it was only a quick question and a brief answer nothing else, it's not a refusal.
