Hey guys, I have booked my date for PCC, but its on 25th May, which is late. In that case, can I go to a local police station and apply from it there. Would there be a less time obtaining PCC from there ??

Or should I wait till 25th and then go through the PSK route ?? Please let me know if anyone has gone through the local police station experience and how was it and how many days that took.

Note - I haven't travelled or stayed anywhere except for my home address. And my passport and current address is also same.

If the PCC from Local Police is good enough and the timeline is less, then I can just straight go to them and apply right away.

When I was reading the same thing, I saw many cases where local police station's PCC wasn't accepted. Better to go through the PSK route, it takes a bit more time, but it does the job without any risks.

Here are some threads that will make the reason very clear.
1. https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/india-punjab-police-clearance-certificate-from-local-district-police-station-ssp-office.728198/ - Legalfalcon (an immigration lawyer and a very respected forum member) said that PCCs from local police stations are not accepted.
2. https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/pcc-from-indian-police-station-is-acceptable-or-no.709737/ - "some people" did receive AOR upon submitting PCC from a local police station. It is very very risky though.

PCCs are a hard rejection when it comes to IRCC and that's why being safe is the best way to proceed here (hence PSK). Additionally, do check point #2 here: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/may-2023-aor.796647/post-10453850

Thank You for going out of ur way and providing me with all this info. Yes I have also heard that PSK always remains a safer bet than a LOcal police station. Anyway, thanks again!
