Indian Passport Renewal from BLS Toronto

Hi Niks2102, I've added my details to the tracker.

As of today, it's officially 3 weeks stuck on "Print has been initiated for passport". Any idea how much longer I should wait before it becomes worrisome?

Yes, I did. No clues there. Basically, application received-->CAT ID generated--> cleared to print-->Initiated for print.
And for whatever it was worth, I checked the Regional Passport India website with my existing passport's file number and the output said it was being reviewed at the Regional Passport Office (which I infer from this thread means that it's been/being cancelled).

Luckily, I don't have to travel anywhere, but this is anxiety inducing for sure.

I applied for my child's passport renewal early last week. Did a BLS Walk-in at Brampton. The application seem to be stuck on "Passport application along with fee details have been received. The same is under processing at the Embassy/Consulate". This is status for last 8 days. Not sure if this is normal or operations are really slow right now?

Hi, I did a postal application (Brampton) for Indian passport renewal and the courier tracker confirms it has been delivered on Wednesday morning, however when im trying to track application status on BLS website, it says "No Records Found", is this normal?

There will always be a lag in the updating of status. Don't worry; I'm sure your packet was received.

I had some questions about Tatkal renewal from BLS Toronto:

1) Tatkal renewal is possible by post right?
2) When sending documents by post, the only original document required is the old passport right? Are copies of the PR card/landing papers adequate or do original documents need to sent?
3) Does one necessarily have to send the application via Purolator pick up/drop off options on the website? Or is just sending via tracked mail through CanadaPost with a return envelope sufficient?

bls accept only purolator better to always application deposit in person you know about your application is complete

what are you saying exactly? better to deposit the application in person? In person requires an appointment and none are available for the foreseeable future right now.
