Hello experts

I am on a PGWP in Canada and my spouse is back home. I will be creating an Express Entry profile for me and my spouse (i will be the primary applicant).
I am wondering what are the documents required to create an express entry profile. My spouse has never been to Canada so i am not too sure what will be documents required from her side. I know ECA is required and she needs IELTS results. What other documents are required?

Would really appreciate if someone from experience elaborate on this.

Thank you all for your time

You dont need a document to create profile. Just need details of - ECA evaluation and IETLS results to start with. Documents needs to be submitted when you receive ITA

ECA and IELTS are not mandatory for your spouse.

Once you are selected (get ITA) and submit your application, mandatory documents for your spouse will include things like passport, PCC, medical, etc.

The ECA could take some time to come. Can i put in the most probable result like bachelors equivalent and create the profile? Also, what documents would i need to submit after ITA?

Thank you

To create an Express Entry profile for you and your spouse, you will need to gather the following documents and information for both of you:
  1. Passport or travel document: You will need a scanned copy of the passport for both you and your spouse.
  2. Language test results: Both you and your spouse should have valid language test results (IELTS, CELPIP, or TEF for French) that are less than two years old. These test results will be used to assess your language proficiency.
  3. Education Credential Assessment (ECA) report: If you and your spouse have completed your education outside of Canada, you will need an ECA report for your highest level of education. This report must be obtained from an organization designated by IRCC (e.g., WES, IQAS, CES, etc.). The ECA report will be used to assess the equivalency of your foreign education to Canadian standards.
  4. Employment records: You will need to provide details of your work experience, including the NOC code, job title, job duties, and duration of employment for each job you have held in the last 10 years. You do not need to submit any documents at this stage, but you will need them when you receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Permanent Residence.
  5. Proof of funds: Although you are currently working in Canada, you still need to provide proof of funds to show that you can support yourself and your family. You will need to provide bank statements or other financial documents that show you meet the minimum required settlement funds.
Once you have gathered all the required documents and information, you can create your Express Entry profile. Keep in mind that you will need to submit additional documents once you receive an ITA, such as police clearance certificates, medical examination results, and job reference letters.
Good luck with your Express Entry application!

No, I don't mean that. What I mean is that it's not mandatory for your spouse to provide ECA and IELTS. If you want points for this, then your spouse needs to obtain them. But not mandatory if you don't care about the points.

I think it would be good for you to dedicate a bit more time to understanding the Express Entry program requirements so that you don't make any errors. Based on the questions you're asking, I'm not sure you've done this basic homework.
