I originally filled in February but application got returned and resubmitted again in April.

It is always based on individual profile and nobody knows what impact the strike will have on processing times. Plan for a year and if processed faster you can celebrate.

Nope, nothing. Would probably be delayed because of the strike they were on.

My application was returned for not having PA applicants sons birth certificate, he's not even in applying for PR. He's not even in canada. They returned it for that reason.

So sorry for you .. are they expecting the documents of non accompany dependents ?

Thats okay,i submitted with the letter of explanation yes they need birth certificate or documents showing both parents name.

Does this means, they just need the birth certificates and they can issue the AOR ? or you need to resubmit the application ?

No ,they returned it so we resubmitted, it will go on queue and the waiting period resets
