Hi all,
I just have a question regarding my situation. I have already submitted an application for PR through EE, my status now shows Medical Passed and we are about to do Biometrics.
I am having a dilemma because I am now 9weeks pregnant. I know we don't need to inform IRCC about my pregnancy and I can choose to deliver the baby after we land in Canada, which would be the better plan if we are to migrate soon. However, we don't actually intend to settle in Canada right away. We plan to come back to our resident country and stay for another year or two before we migrate. I do want to deliver in Canada so that the baby will become a citizen right away, but the birth certificate and passport for the newborn will take over 2months to process and that's time that I don't have.
So my concern is - is it going to affect our chances of getting approved for PR if we decide to delay the whole PR application process by asking IRCC to wait until I deliver and add the baby as another dependent? I personally wouldn't mind the delay, but I'm worried that IRCC might choose to reject our PR application altogether.
Any advice or suggestion will be appreciated. I hope someone who went through a similar experience can share their journey.
