Is it worth attempting IELTS again to get 3 additional CRS points (from 478 to 481)?

Current IELTS Score: CLB 10 (R, L, S) & CLB 9 (W). EOR date already passed, so can't apply for rechecking.
Total CRS Score: 478 (Already in the pool.
Do you think it is worth attempting IELTS again to increase my CRS score from 478 to 481? I know 3 CRS points don't seem a lot, but considering the current cut-off scores and uncertainty around the draws, scores falling below 478 cut-off seems very far-fetched.

Need your input please.

worth trying , if you already scored 7 in writing , 7.5 should be scoreable. Usually people are stuck in 6.5. Express entry is very competitive these days.

I would say go for it; I had the same argument and I decided not to retake the exam. And I ended up waiting from November to March to get ITA.
However, in my case it was the listening part which I know I can score 9 easily and it was just bad luck on the exam's day.

Makes sense. You are right, it might come down to 481, so that's my only option I guess.

I see. Well scoring 7.5 in writing will not be an issue as such I believe. I can get 7.5 if I practice enough.

Better safe than sorry. If paying for test or the time isn't an issue - go for it!

I would definitely go for it. If you check out the CRS distribution for the last few draws, there's probably around 5k candidates between 478 and 481, that's basically the amount of candidates between 481 and 1200.

You are right. That's what I thought too. I will reappear on 29th April.
