Education details for ITA

Hello All,

While filling form for ITA, I have done my masters from UAE however the college is recognized in Australia hence degree is Australian.

For education evaluation, WES has mentioned my degree country / territory as Australia.

Now if I use Australia as my country of Study in personal history, ITA is asking for Police certificate from Australia.

If I am using UAE as country of study, Police Certificate requirements for Australia is removed

My concern is if I UAE as my place of study, will it impact the application (As WES Evaluation report mentions Australia as country of study) and if I retain Australia as country of study, what to do for Police Certificate of Australia?

First of all check with WES as it seems like you would have selected Australia instead of mentioning online or correspondence, confirm with WES again.
With conern to Australia PCC one has to get 3 PCCs as states don't share datas, so 1 each for Queenslands, Victoria and AFP.
Its better to get it sorted with WES as you will have to fill address history and in that when there will be no mention of an Australian address proof and nil travel history to Australia it can lead to officer assuming misinterpretion and hence further consequences. Hope you got what I mean.

The course I did was executive MBA and if I reach WES to amend the ECA, I fear they don't downgrade ECA from Masters to 2 or more degrees

I got it but don't only think about it think about the consequences later, would you be able to overcome misinterpretion and live with ban, no, isn't it, as I always says you would have invested lot of hard work and time reaching at this stage, why to lose that just because of a small clarification which you would do now. If WES would make downgrade it you could try it with IQAS as well. Also how would you explain the travel and address history.

One last question, in this case if I provide an LOE with formal letter from college stating my territory of education is UAE, will this work?

To IRCC? What if IRCC then says you had misinterpreted WES?

If you studied in UAE then you do not need to provide PCC for Australia. IRCC will verify the WES report for education. If you have never been to Australia, no need of PCC.

Under your education details in ITA, change your location to whatever city/country you actually lived and studied.

That's not a problem at all. Just mention your city of education, IRCC will not question your ECA country/thing

Thank you, however won't it clash with WES ECA? IRCC may question country or territory is different to what mentioned in ECA. I fear rejection from IRCC

IRCC will not cause your passport will prove that you never went to Australia and WES ECA will confirm your qualification.
Now you did the WES part wrong where you should not have mentioned your country of education as Australia.

You can still correct it, just talk to WES through their contact us page and tell them to correct it. They may charge a fee or they may do it for free and you'll get a revised ECA.
