After contacting IRCC I just received an email from Sidney office saying that my application was returned on March 30 because it was incomplete. However I haven't received anything yet (let's see if it comes next week after the long weekend and the ice storm here in QC). It is weird because I triple checked everything to be sure all was there. Furthermore, it is not the same time IRCC sort of screws up our immigration applications (I had to resend the photos twice for the PR Cards, which took more than 8 months)...

In case the application does not arrive back to me, what should I do? Re-send again the whole application with a new signed date? It seems I am not very lucky with IRCC

You should have taken the online application route. All such issues or mail delay n all won't be encountered in that. Also AOR is pretty slow for paper application these days and online has started getting processed faster. Anyways once you get the application rectify the issue, re-generate the barcode and use the same payment receipt and resend it again.

I have minors in my application, so I had no choice...

They have opened it now. I am not sure if you can use the same payment receipt and file online application. Worth checking it.

With Minors what I have seen most of the time is missing ID proof.

Ah, good to know. I think it is worth a call, but from the requirements (only one adult per online application) it may be difficult

And yes, I think this might be the reason for the incomplete application, even though I am almost 100% sure we submitted what they asked (no PR card for example). Let's see

Thanks for asking. My application got returned due to missing child's identity document.
I have mailed my application on back on 1st April.

@yankyridzz I received an email from Sidney office to tell me that my application was returned because it was incomplete. In your case, when you resubmitted it, did you generate new QR codes, updated the physical presence info, etc? or did you reuse the same as in the original application and just added the missing document/info?

Have patience. We got AOR on the same day (Feb 21) and just received our test invite yesterday. Hopefully, you will get soon.

that would be very good. I will call this week to IRCC (once my application is returned back) and ask them about this...

I just added the required set of documents and returned the same package as is. As my and my spouse's application were marked as complete.

Could you tell me more about your friend? I’m over 55 and applied in March this year. A proper timeline would be awesome.

She applied in January and got her invitation for the ceremony in April 28, 2023. She is not really a person of being tracking the application, she got her AOR two weeks after applying. That’s all she got before the invitation

So she applied January 2023 and is doing her oath end of April 2023? Did she request urgent processing?

if she didn’t, DAYM!!! Like DAYM!!!!

I better give my overseas friends a heads up.
