Delayed invitation to citizenship test

Greetings,

Typically, citizenship applicants receive an invitation to take the citizenship test shortly after their background check has been completed. However, there are cases where some applicants must wait for several weeks or even months before receiving an invitation.

It has been reported that the invitations to take the test are issued by local offices, and I was informed by IRCC over the phone that my local office is located in Edmonton.

Are you experiencing a similar situation? I welcome your thoughts and insights.

It took over 5 weeks for me to get invite after BG check completed. So some get almost immediately after bg completes and for some it takes some time.

You are on track. It's just 3 months after your AOR and your background check is already done. Just check your tracker and email regularly.

Are you still waiting for test invitation?

I am facing the same issue.

Applied online from Windsor, Ontario.

Applied online: 12 December 2022,
AOR Received: 03 January 2023,
Background completed: 15 February 2023
Ghost update: 02, March 2023

Received AOR from Sydney but IRCC said my application is being processed from Niagara Falls processing centre.

When I called IRCC about the delay, they said its normal and its still within 22 months timeline. Its up to the processing centre when they will send the test invitation. All I can do is just wait :(

With IRCC employee strike its going to get worse

Hello
I am the same. I applied by paper On Nov 2 and AOR was on Dec 28th and Background was completed on Feb 22nd. Then no news at all.
I called the IRCC and the operator said I have to wait for the Edmonton office to send me a test invitation.
How do you know from AOR which office is working on your case?
My AOR was from Sydney CPC.
It is so depressing to see we are stocked and people are waiting for Oath :(

You can know from test email address, GCMS notes or calling IRCC. As operator said Edmonton office that will be your processing office.

You wouldn't know from AOR which office is processing your application. Call IRCC and ask, they should be able to tell you where your application is being processed from.
