Imm5257b form filling

I am on PGWP in Canada and applying for my spouse's SOWP who is back home. I was filling out the form Imm5257b Schedule 1 and it's asking to indicate whether you are the "Primary applicant" or "The spouse, common-law partner or dependent child aged 18 years or older of the principal applicant". I am not sure what to check here as i am filling it out on behalf of my spouse.

Can anyone please guide me here?

Do i need to write a letter of invitation for my spouse to support her SOWP application? Most of them i found online are for visit visa. Any samples available for SOWP invitation letter?
