I am a Vancouver applicant (December 23, 2021), and still awaiting approval on everything except the test. It's embarrassing Vancouver is one of the most inefficient offices across all the provinces.

Same here. Somewhat comforting to know I am not the only one. Hopefully we will soon hear something. All in progress except test (completed) and oath (not started). Been like that for now more than 4months. Called IRCC hotline two times and both times they said all look normal. Don't think they provide any useful information other than that. Meanwhile I see many who applied on 2022 getting their oaths completed. It's an unfair world and an inefficient systems.

Can you please also update whenever they respond? Vancouver looks to have stopped working on old applications (2021) and newer ones are getting through

It is not just Vancouver. I am a Toronto applicant (Scarborough office). Test completed September 12 and BG even before that, and nothing since then. No updates and no requests. Just waiting. It seems there are more applicants on this forum from different locations that are also in the same boat.

Did anyone here reach out to their MP and recieved any had any positive impact on their app? If so it could be great to know the details of what information you sent them and what happened. Is it lawful to share your UCI information and all with third party such as an MP office? I hope this wouldn't negatively impact my app. At this point I am so frustrated that I don't want to do anything to even remotely put me back where I started. Appreciate your help folks!

So we took our oath on Feb 14th and our profile said our case was closed with approved citizenship as of Feb 17th.

Happy to say that we received our Citizenship Certificate today in the mail. We are now Canadian Citizens as of Feb 14th, 2023

A huge thank you to everyone in this forum. This forum has helped me from starting my PR application to my landing to finally my citizenship over the last 6 years almost! i can honestly say that things would have been a lot harder or a lot more confusing without everyone's help here!!!

In this forum, we are witnessing that 98% of December 2021 applicants received their citizenship certificate within 12 months. You and I are among the 2% yet to wait for language, prohibition, and background verification to be completed. The tracker is a useless tool and doesn't provide an accurate status update; likewise, the IRCC call centre doesn't share enough information about application status. If there is proper communication, we can wait for 36 months no problem. Waiting without information is just frustrating and stressful and that is something that IRCC doesn't take into consideration.

I've been reading through the posts here to calm my anxiety with screwing things up the last minute. Here's my situation:

The online tracker status for my oath ceremony updated on Feb 1st (which I learned of only when I logged in on Feb 17th), and it's scheduled for March 7th, 8:15am. However I haven't received any e-mail including junk and trash. The tracker then started to stuck on "Loading / Chargement" page since last week, despite trying with different computers, browsers, VPNs.

My inquries sent through the web form never gets responses on time, so I don't know what to do at this point. Coming here for help.

To anyone who has received the official invitation for oath:

• Is there any form required to be filled / signed / sent back as a pre-requisite to attend the oath?
  • Is there a deadline for submitting this form?
  • If the form is not submitted, will the oath be canceled?

And to those who have finished attending the oath, in-person or virtually:

• Can the applicant request urgent processing of the citizenship certificate?
• Is there an option for electronic vs. paper copy?

All what you facing is normal no need to panic, your invitation will be send any tim next week, they send it a week before oath.you only panic if the invitation not received 3 days before oath. Yes there is form to fill will be with the invitation email you fill it, sign it and send it once you do your oath. If you have a proof of urgency you can ask but usually they don't care,and most the time they don't get late 1 to 2 weeks depending on how far you leave from the office of IRCC. Oh I forgot to ask what office your file with or where do you live to give you more accurate information. Regarding the e-certificate it's only for small group of people IRCC choose randomly at the beginning of the file processing.

The oath email is sent mostly 1 week before the oath ceremony. The tracker is stuck on loading because your ceremony is approaching, you will have access to it about 2 hours after the ceremony. The signed affirmation of oath form will be sent by you after the ceremony, it usually found on the last page of the oath invitation email. There is nothing to be worried about. Goodluck
