Hello, my CRS is 490 and I am eligible for both CEC and FSW. I am currently in the express entry pool and have applied from inside Canada. Can I expect an ITA with this score before the end of March 2023?

You will get ITA but don’t know if it will be before March.
My PGWP expiring on June 22, 2023. I can increase my score by 2 or 4 if I give IELTS again. Shall I wait for 3 draws?

I was in the same boat in 2020 (before draws completely stopped for a very long time). I missed a draw by 1 CRS point. I decided to improve my CRS regardless. I look back and think about what if I hadn't worked on my CRS back then? I lost age points three times after that pause before I could get my ITA. My friends who never did are only regretting not doing so.

This is an opportunity cost problem. Do your best and expect the worst is the safest immigration strategy. #foreverhopeful is for gamblers. If you have a mid level IELTS score, giving IELTS again is a no brainer.

I got my ITA on the very same day I gave my IELTS again. I don't regret giving IELTS again. I would rather be safe than sorry. CAD $150 is nothing for you if it makes a difference, given the PGWP expiry headache.

Wish you the best. Hope you get your "We sent you a message about your application" email very soon.

Thank you. I will apply for PCC and thinking I can wait till my PCC is processing as even If I get the ITA I still have to wait for PCC before I can submit maybe by the time I am waiting for PCC the CRS drop below 490. If not then I will give the test again instead of waiting further.

Oh, yes! PCC should be done upfront if you are this close to getting an ITA. Mine took good 24 days to process (not including the PCC appointment date delay). By the time I got my ITA I had my PCC ready. Took me 7 days from ITA to re-read every doc 10x times and submit :D.

Yes right, will leverage the PCC waiting time to see if the CRS drop below 490.
