Hi all,

It looks like the background check is mostly stuck in the security screening.
My security screening started on June 2022 (it is the same month that I got an invitation to the citizenship test). Passed the criminality check already.
Applied for citizenship on October 11th, 2021, and AOR January 5th, 2022.

Finally a movement.. File updated today with BG complete. Here is my timeline so far
Applied October 1st 2021
Acknowledged December 16th 2021
Test done on June 20th 2022and marked complete
Fingerprints received June 26th 2022
Ghost updates last was December 16th 2022
BG marked complete on Feb 16th 2023

Hopefully my application will move faster now.

No update for me. Doesn’t look like a system update. Congrats

Usually everything completed is a good sign. That means they have cleared everything for you and now you are placed in a queue and are on a waitlist to be assigned an oath ceremony date and time. I have never heard of anyone not going backwards after this step.

Do you have any idea how long it’s gonna take to get email for oath?

Did everyone here get a request for Finger Prints?
I never got anything regarding finger prints.
