Nah. I am OK with looking at things and saying like they are. I have a job and opportunity to move to countries that you can only dream of.Well, guys like Majorgrom have been stuck in that first step for years now.
Genius. That's to account for inflation. Minimum wage in Turkey grew by 54%. So what? You do realize wages in Canada just grew by over 5% year over year?

I think it's the other way around. I never said Canada was perfect, but you do seem to think the US is some sort of promised land.Of course not because I popped your "oh Canada is so perfect" bubble with some hard truth.
You never spoke about inflation, you said Canada keeps their salaries low, I'm showing you how wages have actually grown year over year.Genius. That's to account for inflation. Minimum wage in Turkey grew by 54%. So what?
Agreed, and I've been saying it for a few days now. People come to this forum for guidance and to get answers to their immigration questions. Why are you guys hijacking a thread meant to help potential FSW candidates and discuss issues relating to their application? If you want to discuss Canada, feel free to start your own thread instead of trolling. You guys are detailing the purpose of this thread.
I'm with you buddy. Canada is not perfect, but I am loving it. My kids are having a blast here too. I am the happiest and settled I've ever been. The govt cares for the residents and they do their best, though they are slow to act in some instances. The govt-provided benefits for food, housing, health, education etc really helps to make life bearable. I know that this is highly province-dependent but the federal govt does it's best too.I haven't been on this forum a long time but this is a trend that I only see here. On Reddit people seem to be much more eager to call Canada their home. I worked in Canada on an intra-company transfer permit and I do agree that it's not a perfect society. That being said, it's much better than the vast majority of countries out there and that's why I am trying my best to succeed in my PR application.
People forget the value of clean air, clean roads, good education system, and take these things for granted and only focus on the negatives. Not leaving Canada, incessantly hating on it, and discouraging others who want to immigrate there is just beyond my comprehension.
Subsidizing daycare is a great policy and probably doesn't get enough mention / credit on this thread. May be not enough people with kids in daycare. But where is this? In Mississauga fee before subsidy was around 1500 a month which is now down to nearly half around $730 per month. $250 per month sounds really great.Few minutes ago, I was sharing with a new immigrant what happened with my son's daycare last year:when we came in August 2021 (on study permits), I was paying $790/month for son's daycare (daycares are crazy expensive in most part of Canada). About 5 months later, the provincial govt decided to subsidize the daycare fees for all residents (whether permanent or temporary residents). The fees fell to $245/month. Not only that, the govt refunded the difference between the new fees and the old fees GOING BACK 6 MONTHS! I was so shocked.
Yup! I was paying 1100 per month and now its just 550 or so.Subsidizing daycare is a great policy and probably doesn't get enough mention / credit on this thread. This is in SK. In fact, PRs and citizens pay even less by applying for further rebates (a family on my street pay $260 total for 2 kids, at the same creche my son goes to). I am lucky enough to afford $250 per month for my son so I didn't bother applying for further subsidy.Subsidizing daycare is a great policy and probably doesn't get enough mention / credit on this thread. For certain CEC candidates he didn't mess things up but really fixed the unfair system for CECs /s.Yes, there will always be a Mendicino in every level of government to mess things up.
Ok. Thank you so much.I wear a very heavy gold chain. Did not face any questioning ever. Wife brought 2 sets of jewellery in luggage, no issues.
