My husband is on closed work permit. And my visit visa has been approved. Our lawyer has informed us we do not need to book return ticket as I will be accompanying my husband until 2025 (expiry his work permit). Anyone is this situation can help and let me know if this won’t be an issue if I don’t book return ticket. Thank you.

If you held an OWP, then you would not need a return ticket. Since you have a TRV, the situation is different. I would recommend you speak with the airline you are flying with. Airlines will sometimes deny boarding to individuals with a TRV and only a one way ticket.
I can't answer that question. If you have already applied for an OWP, then I would think CBSA will be OK with this since you can show you have taken steps to obtain a visa that allows to to remain in Canada long term. However your first issue is the airline.
I haven’t applied for OWP but have applied for PR and the process has already started. Not sure if that helps in not obtaining a return ticket. I’m sorry if I’m confusing. I am just worried and don’t know what to do. As our lawyer has specifically asked not to get a return ticket and I’m just worried.
How did you apply for PR?
That may actually complicate things a bit...maybe.
If the CBSA officer suspects that you will not leave Canada after your authorized stay, they could question you at length and could possibly refuse your entry. Having a submitted PR application could amplify those concerns, but you will not know...until you know, since every CBSA officer is different.
No one asked me anything upon arrival. I literally did not say a single word during the whole landing process.
I think you will be fine as long as you have a legit reason not to have a return ticket. I did not buy one because I am not sure how long I need to stay and the price were too high, I wanted to wait till the price go down, which turns out to be declining recently. even if someone questioned about the return ticket, my answer would be fine I believe.
