Hey everyone, I came here with a tourist visa, and claimed refugee at the port of entry, does the time between my entry count for citizenship? Apparently time between tourist visa and PR counts as 0.5 day for max of 365 days, but does it also include being a refugee claimant?

You can only count the time after you received protected person status. You cannot count the period of time from when you claimed refugee status to when you became a protected person.
So to answer your question, your time being a refugee claimant cannot be counted.
To be more specific, you are eligible to apply for Citizenship after March 2023
You need 2 years of PR Residence which will be March 2023 since you had COPR in March 2021. Then you need another 1 year to make total of 3years. You had Notice of Decision back in 2019 counting half day each day. Next Month you meet eligibility provided you did not stay out of Canada, which will deduct exact same days.
Oh I see. The problem is I got my notice of decision on November 2019, so it is less than 365 days. I calculated online and apparently I'm eligible for citizenship july. thanks anyway

Given the wait time until you get PR all protected people will likely max out the 1 year before they get PR that they can count towards getting citizenship. Counting the 2 years from the time they get PR is likely what will decide when they qualify for citizenship.
Time after becoming PP and before PR counts toward citizenship. Both times are important, Even if it maxed 365days....if you dont have 365days before becoming PR, you need 2years after PR plus days left to make 1,095 [3yrs]. For resettled refugee landing on first day, they need total of 1,095days and not 2yrs, or if a person became PP and PR same year [which is unlikely given processing time], that person will still need 2yrs plus to make 1,095days, not only 2yrs.
Okay I found a definitive answer. On IRCC's webpage, it is said that a refugee claimant isn't a temporary resident. therefore, the days you spent in Canada while waiting for NOD won't count for citizenship.
