I don’t see any reason to reschedule your oath ceremony. Since you planned to travel using a different passport, you should go ahead and complete the oath as scheduled. Once you return, you can proceed with applying for a Canadian passport.- WATCHTOWA

Application processing varies from case to case and also depends on the officer handling your file. You can try calling or request CGMS notes, as this usually triggers a check on your application and sometimes helps move it forward. All the best!- WATCHTOWA

I called them this morning around 10:00 a.m. to follow up on the invitation I had not yet received. The representative informed me that it was still in processing based on the information available to her. Fortunately, I received the invitation about three hours later.- WATCHTOWA

It takes 30days or more. I also applied and it clocked 30days yesterday. No response yet, but my application changed as LPP was completed and oath ceremony scheduled. Situation varies on case by case basis.- WATCHTOWA

Prohibition was completed on September 4 and updated on September 6. The Oath Ceremony has not started yet. I’m hoping it will fall on September 23, which happens to be my birthday and also the same day I received my PR. Fingers crossed.- WATCHTOWA
