Question about eligibility for FSW

I was wondering why isn't it possible for someone to be eligible for FSW without foreign work experiences?

I graduated from a university in BC, and went on to work full time in Canada for more than 1 year. I do not have foreign work experiences.

I was looking at my EE profile and noticed that I am only eligible for CEC. I was wondering why I am not eligible for FSW since:
  1. My FSW points is 74 which is more than the 67 required.
  2. I have at least 1 year of continuous working experience that is not when I was a student, and in the same TEER as my intended occupation. I am still employed in the same job.
  3. I have a Canadian Bachelor's degree, no foreign degree.
  4. My CELPIP score is high enough. All components are more than CLB 9.
Any help is appreciated.

What did you enter for proof of funds?

$10k. Does that matter in the decision for FSW eligibility? My marriage status sure is common-law and I am applying with a partner.

Please see above thanks. Also I am working in Canada so I believe that proof of fund requirement can be waived?
You're on a PGWP, right? If so, this is an open work permit without an employer named so it's not regarded as a job offer. If you want to qualify under FSW, you need to have POF to cover yourself and any dependents - and you need to show this in your EE profile.

Yes, it matters for FSW. That's not enough money. You need at least $16,570.

For FSW, you need proof of funds.

You don’t need to show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family if

  • you’re applying under the Canadian Experience Class or
  • you’re authorized to work in Canada and you have a valid job offer, even if you apply under the Federal Skilled Worker Program or the Federal Skilled Trades Program
You don’t have a LMIA with closed work permit.

Thanks, so just to confirm, if I can proof that I have $16,570, even without a "job offer" I will be eligible for FSW?

Also, does the proof of fund needs to be all in my own name? Or can it be under the name of my partner?

Yes partner’s funds can be included. Read the link above as you must have maintained funds for at least 6 months when you apply for PR.

You can include your partner's funds as long as your partner is listed as accompanying (you cannot if non-accompanying).
